This is a journey that takes in 3 continents and travels in the manner of a bygone era. This is a true adventure with myriad diverse experiences to be encountered along the way. In Europe you could go from people watching in Soho to dining on French cuisine in a Normandy village to drinking sangria in a Basque Bar with the locals. In Africa you move from the souks of Casablanca to the rhythms of Senegal to the voodoo of Gambia. And in South America this journey allows you to get in touch with your inner samba in Brazil and finish up with a tango in Argentina. Never before has so much diversity been packed into a little over a month of travel to leave you with a lifetime of memories.

IMPORTANT NOTE
It is important to note that not all ships stop at all ports along this route. The ports of call are determined by the cargo that is being delivered or picked up. It is very unlikely that any ship will stop at all ports mentioned below but this is the maximum number of possibilities.
Very few ships pull into Casablanca, Banjul, Conakry and Freetown. Most other ports are serviced regularly with Bilbao, Salvador Bahia and Montevideo being the next least regular. If you have a specific port or ports of call you do not want to miss please let us know your preferences to enable us to find the best ship/routing for you.
The actual ports of call are determined until 6 weeks prior to the anticipated sailing date. The route and cargo taken also determines the amount of days each trip takes. 32 days is again the maximum possible for Tilbury to Buenos Aires although some ships do the journey in only 27 days.
Tilbury - UK
Tilbury today is a small town on the north side of the River Thames, about 45 kilometres (28 miles) east from the centre of London. The town is dominated by the docks which have facilities for many types of cargo, such as timber, fruit, cement, vehicles and containers.
Depending on time in port, access to London is made easy via train from the centre of town to reach Fenchurch Street Station with connections to the London underground (allow approximately one hour).
Your journey begins just on the outskirts of London. Arrive early to take in the sights of Londontown such as the famous tower and Buckingham Palace or maybe check out some world class art at the Tate Museum or go people watching in Soho.
Antwerp - Belgium
It was in the 13th century that Antwerp, a small settlement that was already a thousand year old, really began to grow. In contrast, there is the 19th century urban expansion with its middle-class houses in all sorts of neo-styles.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
