Once one breaks contact with the ground, energy shifts. The magical environment of the forest canopy conjures up thoughts of elves and fairies. One can feel the presence of the forest. Sphere Accommodation
Do you fancy living in the trees in an eco-friendly tree-house? Created to co-exist unobtrusively with its rainforest environment, these wooden Spheres suspended amongst the tall trees, conjure thoughts of elves and fairies and will bring out the tree-climbing child within.
Location
We are located on private land near Qualicum Bay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The five beautiful acres has a large pond in the centre which attracts birds and other wildlife, enhancing ones commune with the forest and Mother Nature herself.
Our property is close to Horne Lake Caves, the Qualicum River, Mt. Washington, and Georgia Strait. At Horne Lake there is a provincial park with great swimming, a beautiful underground cave network plus lots of hiking, canoeing, kayaking and mountain biking trails. You can walk to the Qualicum River and the salmon hatchery from our site. The path takes you through some ancient rainforest and bear habitat.
Sphere Technology
The "Spherical Tree House" concept borrows heavily from sailboat construction and rigging practice. It's a marriage of tree house and sailboat technology. Spherical architecture has many unconventional features. Conventional buildings separate walls, ceiling and floor with hard lines. In a Sphere the walls and ceiling merge into one. There are only 2 sides to a sphere; inside and outside. The spheres are well adapted to life in a large mature forest.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
