Our dome accommodation is very unique lodging. It is one of only seven astronomic hotels worldwide and the only one in the South Hemisphere. The rooms are geodesic domes that each with a detachable roof over it for star-gazing as well as having a telescope on the individual terrace. Located in the Elqui Valley, known as 'Chile's Magical Valley', with its clean air and clear blue sky show-casing millions of stars, glorious mountains looming over head, fertile soil and three hundred sunny days a year, it is definitely a must-see place for budding astrologers and lovers of nature alike. There are more UFO sightings from this region than anywhere else in the world so your visit could be a life-changing experience.

Our Dome accommodation came to life in February 2005 as a result of the creators, wanting to achieve their dream of offering guests purpose-built lodging to enjoy the magic skies of Elqui Valley.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
